After searching for six weeks, her body is found buried in the local park. Her ex-boyfriend, Adnan, is arrested and charged with her murder. However, Sarah Koenig, host of Serial, believes there is something fishy about the case from the start.
Our study focused on the zoning by the city through three different time periods the 1960’s, 1990’s and the present around The National Black Theater in Harlem. We also included the population statistics and median income surrounding the theater and the resulting socioeconomic effects. The focus was also about understanding the zoning from the 1960’s- present and how it directly shaped the landscape for the Harlem of today. For the National Black Theater their future is directly tied to the surrounding neighborhood and its inhabitants.
The Globe Theater was a very well-known and entertaining theater where many famous plays were shown which were written by many famous writers including Shakespeare. The theater had a very unique structure, one that you would not find today. However, I was constrained by my tendency to occasionally slur my words, which I have been doing since childhood. This made my enunciation poor during the podcast and caused the podcast to be longer than necessary because I read slowly to pronounce all the words coherently. Creating a profile podcast really helped me learn how to incorporate rhetorical appeals and methods into my argument. While writing the script, I focused extensively on my audience and exigence to avoid rambling, which made my profile more specific and applicable to my audience.
