Everlasting life Egyptians vs France
Analyzing the architecture in the ancient Egyptian time (3100BC-30BCE) you come upon the three pyramid of Giza. The purpose of the pyramid was to honor the Pharaoh even in the afterlife. There was three generation of pharaoh buried in three different pyramids (Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure). The architecture of the point of the pyramid was design to a lined with the stars. The elements of the firmness, commodity and delight is portrayed in the pyramid of Giza. Firmness can be described as bearing construction. The pyramid median is limestone making it a permanent structure. The commodity (uses) is a type of funeral for the pharaoh. The pyramid had a religious symbolism that the structure is the everlasting life not to be interpreted as death. The Egyptian believed in the after live and the tomb had several items like food, gold, clothing and body with the organism. The organism wasn’t important that’s important is the soul of that body that lives on forever, even past this life. The museum was a plaza that later on they created a pyramid in the center of the plaza. Just like the pyramid of Giza had a symbol as does the pyramid in France. The symbol was to have everlasting life. The three elements of architecture still apply to this pyramid as well. The firmness is different from Giza because the median used in France was steel and glass. the use of the pyramid was to use as an entrance to the museum. The delight elements include a central linear form. The mass of the pyramid is big and thin seam light as well. The texture of the surface is smooth. The color of the pyramid is transparent because of the glass. The scale is median in a portion to the palace around the pyramid. The site of the pyramid is located in an urban open, plazas with a palace surrounding the glass
