The blunt force trauma to the back of Mr. Krabs head suggests that the murder may have been shorter than Mr. Krabs and he couldn’t reach his neck.

If Squidward had seen Spongebob enter the Krusty Krab, then he should have been able to see him exit. In the case that the prosecutor has presented to you today there is insufficient proof to convict. We would ask for a verdict of not guilty. The state stated that Spongebob is the murderer using the witness statements. Some of these statements don't make sense such as how Patrick Star stated that Spongebob said, “Mr. Krabs is a greedy pig. He’s gonna wish he’d given me a raise!” Patrick Star is known for having a very low I.Q, meaning he could have said what Spongebob Squarepants said incorrectly. Another witness testimony is that Squidward Tentacles stated that he heard a screaming from the Krusty Krab, but only “after waiting a while” he went to investigate. This means that Squidward could have wanted anyone in there to die. The defendant does not have to prove he is innocent, rather it is the burden of the prosecuting attorney to prove that the defendant is guilty. They have not met that burden. It is the prosecutor who has all the resources to investigate the case. It is not the job of the defendant to go out and investigate the matter.
