Within several different religions and beliefs in one way or another they discuss the topic of evolution and creationism. I grew up within a religious household that practiced Islam which is a monotheistic and Abrahamic religion that is practised worldwide and relies on the Quran as its religious text. Within Islam the response towards evolution ranges from theistic evolution to creationism. Though for the most part the response is against evolution even to the extent that they ban the teaching of it in some countries. The teaching of evolution contradicts with the teachings of islam in the regards that it goes against the belief of Adamic descent as written within the Quran. If only one of the two were to be taught in school it would teach the students to have a more closed minded view towards things due to the fact that they were taught not to be open to different interpretations of our coming into this world. Teachers opening the gateway for conversation in a classroom setting would show students that they are not the only ones who are confused in what they want to believe in. A negative side of being taught both would be that as much the person teaching both sides would try to not be biased towards one side, it will affect how the students are perceiving the information. The teachers who should be teachings either topic should be well educated in both topics in order to properly fill gaps of knowledge that the students may have. No matter the religious majority in the area of that school or even district students should be exposed to both sides to see a different interpretation of the other side and even the belief from their own religion. If a student is Buddhist they should be able to learn about evolution from a different scientific perspective to see how it either contrasts or coincides with their religion. If children are also taught to avoid thing that are not similar to what they were taught growing up then they will avoid change resulting in them becoming more closed minded. Rigid personalities form when people are taught only one method of everything and believe that beliefs outside of their own are wrong and they should get defensive. Creating a curriculum for this within other classes may be difficult but ways that one can do this could be through showing the evidence that other sides has to offer. In science courses teachers can teach things like the DNA sequence of humans and show how people associate this with evolution and the feedback that the
