I do believe Selkie: Between Land and Sea was an appropriate title for this play. When the play begins you get to see the land side of this little “world” in the Orkney Islands in northern Scotland. You see how most of them dislike the Selkie, and want to kill the Selkie for their skin. Elin Jean however is not like the rest of the land people. She listens to the Selkie and loves to swim in the ocean by them.
