bravery or none bravery is being courageous in the face of danger, fear of difficulty, and for none it’s a trait of lacking bravery, and it appears in a book called The Hate You Give. I'm writing a 5-paragraph essay, and my theme is how the characters in the book do bravery or non-bravery acts. For example, in Chapter 16:125, John, the producer, had the bravery to help Starr with her case with Khalil's death; furthermore, for none-bravery, it’s when in Chapter 4, Page 27, Starr was still shocked after the death of Khalil. My statement is that in the hate you give, neither bravery nor bravery appears a lot in the hate you give. For example, in Chapter 2, page 15, Starr was not showing bravery when Officer One killed Khalil. Starr was too scared …show more content…
My example is on page 61, chapter 8, of how Rosalie yelled at a king lord during a Khalil funeral. The quote says, "One of the king’s lords hands him a folded gray bandana and he lays it across Khalil’s chest. Rosalie jumped up and looked at me. Like hell, you will! She marches to the coffin and snatches the bandana off Khalil. She starts toward King, but Daddy catches her halfway and holds her back. Get out of here, you demon, she screams. And take this mess with you! She throws the bandana at the back of King’s head. This is a reason to show how bravery is in the book The Hate You Give. An example of bravery is in chapter 19, page 146. Starr felt uncomfortable talking about the night of the shooting. In the quote, it said, "We're going to discuss the night of the shooting in detail." The unbrave part of me, which feels like most of me shouts no, wants to crawl up in a corner and act as if none of this ever happened. This shows there are no bravery parts in the Hate You Give book. This shows how there is, or is not, bravery in the Hate You Give book. My conclusion is that there are bravery/no bravery parts in the book The Hate You Give and how the characters go throughout the book, like how Starr didn't tell her friends that she was at the shooting and how she was acting weird, as well as when Starr had the bravery to talk over an officer even though the officer was telling her to be quiet.
