There are many ways in which a person can use their appearance.Clothing can be seen as a representation of the disguised nature of people, rather than to express who they truly are.As we observe the attire of another, we can determine the income ,interests, or nationality they come from. A person with a black suit, a gold watch, briefcase and tie can be viewed and judged as a middle aged, business man with a good income living in the city. Not for the look of it, resembling that they have all the riches.From this he inferences that both daughters should eliminate the clothing they wear for the people of the land to see how ungrateful and hypocritical they are .Lear, also continues to explain the difference between real needs rather than fashion and social needs.
