After reading the article, it helped me form an opinion about how I truly felt about the book. I think the book has good lessons that could be learned from it. Ultimately, I think that the book could be defined as “unethical”.

The article talks about the science that goes into the book, Frankenstein. The primary argument that is brought up would be determining if the book still matters to this day. The article then goes into the debate of if the book is ethical or not. In our society, there is no true definition of what the word “ethical” really means. If you are asking me, it is unethical from the first page of the book. There is something to be said about all the science that went into the book, which the article talks about. After reading the book, I determined that it is extremely unethical. The first thing would be how Doctor Frankenstein got the parts for the creature. Doctor Frankenstein went grave robbing essentially, taking parts of people to use for the creature that he was creating. After working so diligently for years, he brought his creature to life. Soon after, Victor left because he was so scared of what he created. Victor left his creature by himself. To me, this is the most unethical part of the whole novel. The poor creature was left by himself, he had no one to teach him the “laws of the land”. Nobody was there to teach him how to walk or talk, show him how to exist in their society, or teach him how to coexist with other people. Victor essentially left an eight-foot-tall baby by
