Everything in his life could not have been any better because he had, loving parents and a great education. Although he lost his mother at a young age he still had his father and siblings to fall back on for love and support. Once Victor left for college he could have done anything he set he mind to, instead he wanted to create the creature. During the time it took to create the creature, Victor began to lose his mind. He separated himself from life outside his apartment; he even began to lose contact with his family.
Because of the fact that Victor was the reason that his creature was isolated from society, his creation kills off his family in a sense making his karma. Eventually his creation kills enough of his family and friends for Victor to be alone. Victor's consequences of his actions come back to him in the end, feeling the same way his creature did when the first and only person to see and value in him rejects him, and makes society reject him
In addition, Victor has people who care about him and is accepted by others. The Creature is lonely, uneducated, abandoned by his creator and shunned by both society and Victor. Victor has everything he needs and could want but he is not satisfied with that. The Creature doesn’t have anything (no love from its creator, or others) but he is fine with it until his environment rejects him and he kills William and Victor refuses to create a female companion for him, he becomes opposing to Victor and starts to kill everyone that Victor cares
After the creature is finished explaining its story to Victor, there is a turning point in the novel. Victor realizes that he needs to take on some responsibility for his creation: “did I not as his maker, owe him all the portion of happiness that it was in my power to bestow?”(Shelley 148). Victor also thinks, “…the justice due both to him and my fellow creatures demanded of me that I should comply with his request. ”(Shelley 150). Victor is finally understanding that he needs to take on some responsibility for this creature.
He became obsessed with the idea of creating life out of inanimate objects. Victor wanted to manipulate the power of life and wanted to discover the secrets of life and death and how to renew life. He abandons his creation because of the creature's appearance. It is understandable why some people argue that Victor was actually a victim because the monster killed many of his loved ones. But in actuality, Victor's hypocritical attitude made him like that.
The monster was a creation with a criminal mind that Victor Frankenstein created. Shelley's writing is a warning to mankind that our society is becoming unethical and it needs to change or pay the price. The first reason why Victor Frankenstein is unethical is his scientific pursuit of creating life. Victor's obsession with creating life led him to ignore the natural order of things. By trying to create life, he played God and interfered with the natural order that was established.
The fact that Victor sees the creature as such a vile thing shows us that Victor doesn’t have any respect whatsoever for it. The creature states that he was ‘dependent on none and related to none’ which also
Victor denied the monster it’s power by not allowing it to have what it asked for. This refusal caused the monster declare it’s dominance through threatening Victor to do as it says or he will be punished. After Victor refuses to allow his creation to take control, it goes mayhem and reacts with hatred. The creature tried to gain it’s power by deteriorating Victor’s life killing many of the friends and loved ones close to Victor. This pulls the final straw for Victor, he attempted to hunt the monster down and destroy it before it could hurt anyone else.
This creature, (though innocent at first,) hurt everyone around Victor and eventually led to his death. Victor’s endless misery and paranoia were due to him suffering
He started wandering around the mountains and caves as his refuge. This is also where Victor was wandering near the mountains to find peace from his iniquity and from the horrors of the truth, of knowing that the creature is wandering freely, he bumps into the creature himself and the creature starts telling his tale. Halfway into the story the creature describes his hatred towards Victor's creation after reading a note he found in his creator's lab coat pocket, by exclaiming in anger, “I sickened as I read. ' Hateful day when I received life!' I exclaimed in agony. '
Victor is stirred by his work, but not in a positive manner. He goes on to explain his feelings towards the creature by saying, “… my heart sickened and my feelings were altered to those of horror and hatred” (136). Victor is so bewildered and repulsed by the creature that he misses key signs of violence, from the creature, that may have saved Victor’s family had he not been so
When Victor abandons him, the Creature attempts to live alone and learn how others live. The people hindered his attempts with their harsh reactions and obvious fear of the Creature. He secluded himself from society and lived in the woods near a little cottage where a family lived. For a while, he stole wood and food from them until he learned their financial hardships and then he started helping them. He observed the family and began learning through them.
He starts his own plan to for revenge against the creature, but this makes him just as beastly as the monster. Victor makes it his life goal, to make the monster pay in any way he can. He wants him to feel lonely and isolated forever. The beast takes a lot out on Victor and makes him feel exactly the way he feels
Frankenstein created the creature so he could manipulate the power of life, not to learn from the experience. He is so immersed in his studies, fascinated by the creation of life. He studies what the human body is made up of and how it falls apart. Victor completely disengages from the world when away at school after his mother dies of scarlet fever.
Victor created a monstrous and deformed being that was feared and rejected by the society; this made the society to shun away from the creature leaving him all alone. Both the creature and his creator were outcasts and lived in isolation from the rest of the
