The first appeal which I learnt in class today is ethos (credibility) or ethical appeal which means to convince someone by the attitude of an author. Based on the knowledge of persuasive appeal that I have acquired today, I learnt that the persuasive appeal which is ethos helps me in my daily life as I have to be confident and professional when I am speaking to my audience so that I can engage the audience to listen me and persuade and convince them to believe that I am a credible speaker.

An example of how I can apply ethos to my daily life is that I can convince and persuade customers to buy my facial products by telling them the good reviews given by other customers and the number of products being sold out within a short period of time. The last appeal is logos (or rational) appeal. The definition is that we have to persuade and convince people by using the method of reasoning. The appeal which is logos is important because logical reasoning is used to back up our claim. We also have to provide evidence, facts and reliable statistics to support the claims said by us.

An example of how I can apply logos to my daily life is that since my end semester assessment is around the corner, I have to study hard and go all out to revise and clear my doubts for all modules if I want to secure a good gpa and be promoted to the next semester.
