In the article, “How a Lack of Clear Communication Can Affect Your Life, and Ways to Improve It,” Marissa Moore talked about how bad communication “can leave you feeling frustrated, upset, distant, confused, and more. Even if you can’t pinpoint exactly where the communication is breaking down, you can feel the stress of those interactions” (Moore). Capulet’s poor communication with Juliet caused her to be extremely frustrated and mad at him, driving her to create this crazy plan to be with Romeo. If Capulet had just been more open-minded and willing to listen to Juliet, he might have stopped all the awful deaths from happening. This poor communication was only worsened by Lord Capulet's sudden decision to rush the wedding plans, which escalated the tension even more. Capulet believed that the wedding would make Juliet feel better about her cousin's death, so he moved the date from Thursday to the very next day, Wednesday, saying, “Go, nurse. Go with her. We’ll go to church tomorrow” (4.2.38). This line showed how Capulet made quick decisions about Juliet's marriage, putting a lot of urgency and pressure on Juliet to do what he wanted, not what she wanted. This huge change of plans messed up Friar Laurence's plan, and he was
