Foreshadowing is like a glimpse into the future. You can see some of what’s to come, but it uses the reader’s imagination to determine what it will mean. Conflict is part of life, both internal, and external. It can affect everyone, that is one of the reasons books who include these elements seem to get the viewers attention. Kurt Vonnegut uses both of those elements to draw in the reader, and capture his full attention. These work extremely well in most of his famous stories such as “2BR02B”.
