When someone does something wrong, dont forget all the things they did right. In the historical fiction novel The Kite Runner by Hosseini forgiveness takes a big part in the characters lives. When situations come about in the novel Hosseini relates them back to forgiveness whenever he can. Throughout the novel conflict becomes a big part between the characters. Forgiveness is an essential to an everyday life. It is important to forgive yourself so you can forgive others to. “...But what could I do except stand and watch my wife get beaten up? If I fought, that dog would have surely put a bullet in me”(Hosseini 216). Sometimes it’s better to not get involved than to get involved. Hassan told Amir that story of his wife to make him feel better. Furthermore, Amir forgives Baba for not telling him that Amir and Hassan are half-brothers. Hassan gets treated extremely well by Baba, knowing that Hassan is a servant in Baba’s house. Hassan gets birthday presents, and he is always involved in father and son activities with Amir and Baba.
