The friendship that Nick has with Gatsby stands as a symbol of reliability, trust, and love. F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, shows the complex friendship Nick has with Gatsby, Nick’s curiosity for Gatsby’s life, and Nick’s interest to help Gatsby the more he gets to know him. F. Scott Fitzgerald shows that they have a very complicated friendship throughout the book. Nick is always constantly judging Gatsby, but admires him for pursuing his dreams he says, “it was an extraordinary gift for hope, a romantic readiness such as I never found in any person and which it is not likely I shall ever find again.” This explains why he invites Daisy to tea when Jordan said, “He wants to know, continued Jordan, if you’ll invite Daisy to your house some afternoon and then let him come over.” It shows the interest Nick has for helping Gatsby with his plan in trying to have that love …show more content…
