Over time, American Government systems have had to deal with the uprising of new concepts and ideas to better represent the American People. This has given rise to many different Interest Groups all trying to compete for the government’s attention in order to bring more opinions to the forefront of debate. As these interest groups have grown and prospered, they have gained power in the political arena, even more so than the American people working individually to achieve the very same goals.
