We start with the title of our source clearly stating that the perspective of this entire issue is through the lens of the left side. Our main issue in this article is the misrepresentation of Republicans and where they stand on this issue. We don’t properly explain how guns should be regulated and how they can be used for protection. It mainly goes into how dangerous guns can be for all communities and minorities. They mention that the government should be the only one in charge of dangerous firearms and that society’s access to them shouldn’t be allowed.
The gun control issue is as much about culture as it is policy. Neither conservatives or liberals can adequately understand the other’s view—nor does either side want to. Conservatives find that guns are a symbol of freedom for the individual—personal right for their own protection (Chemerinsky 485). Liberals view on gun rights are that the citizens do not have the right to bear arms, and that they should only be used for the local and federal government to protect people through the law (Chemerinsky 485). Further, liberals argue that the language of the Amendment is ambiguous, making reference to the right of contemporary "militias" rather than individuals to own guns (Stanley 1).
The article discusses the gun control movement since 2012 school shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, focusing on control efforts at the state level. It talks about our Second Amendment rights and how the Democrats as well as The Republicans wanted to make it harder for the mentally ill to get firearms in their hands. They would increase the funding for the prosecutions and they would even get more strict on the control of gun trafficking. This article also states that The Democrats were very quick to blame The Republicans for the broken gun laws.
Democrats typically want guns out of ordinary citizens hands; their ideology on this is that if no one has guns then the number of deaths because of gun violence will decrease exponentially. While this might seem like sound thinking, the most common argument that puts this idea down is “If we don’t have guns when a terrorist shows up or someone gets a gun from the black market we won’t be able to defend ourselves.” The Republicans stance on gun control is that ordinary citizens should have guns, so when crazy people and terrorists show up we can defend ourselves. They actually want to loosen up the laws regarding gun control because of the Second Amendment. This ideology is typically rivaled with the argument that this will result in more gun violence, and there two ways to look at this argument.

Pro gun-control activists argue this as they are of the point of view that gun access is too easy and that this access is causing danger in society; they clearly value safety, particularly for human life. They follow the ideology of socialism because they want social order and for everyone to be able to access the same things, including a limited access to guns. Socialism is about control and pro-gun control advocates are all about control, specifically of the distribution and legality of guns. In today’s society, one of the most alienating issues in American politics is gun control. More specifically, the issue is whether or not guns should be banned in the United States. Some people would say that guns should be banned because it would reduce crime as a whole and keep citizens safer. These people, enthusiasts of stricter gun laws, fear being safe in their country where there are so many people who have access to guns. Opponents of this argument, however, also fear losing safety.
One of the most controversial issues our nation faces today is gun control laws. This controversy has been created due to the different interpretations of the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution which states the right of citizens to bear arms; “a well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed” (Cornell Law School). Anti-gun control laws believe that the amendment guarantees the right to bear any kind of firearms. On the other hand, we have does that believe that more controls laws should be implemented since the 2nd amendment was for the right of States to have an armed militia during wartime. Both sides have strong point, however, the safety of our children comes first, and a firearm means death in the wrong hands.
In the new year of 2016, gun control rights are still an issue the United States is dealing with daily. Many believe the U.S. should have an unlimited to a little amount of gun control but the other main portion of Americans believe the country needs laws to strengthen what is already set in place and add more restrictions. In an article the author states, that fifty-five percent of citizens are for creating more gun control throughout the country. In that case, forty-five percent believe different and that is trouble for both parties, whether pro or con.
(Enten). This demonstrates that the congress is unsure on what to do about gun policys because of the different thoughts and opionons of the citzens on the policys. To add on, the gun rights advicates are more passionate. An example from the text, “Gun owners are 9 points (21% to 12%) more likely to have contacted public officials about gun policy than those who don 't own guns. Americans who favor loosening gun laws have been 7 points (22% to 15%) more likely to contact public officials than those who favor stricter gun laws.”
Gun laws This topic brings conflicts among us people in the United States. It’s been an issue for awhile now and it’s going to be an issue on into the future. Some people feel like it is their right to bear arms and have a deadly weapon for protection.
Gun Control Gun control has become a polarizing and controversial issue around the globe. There have been many reported issues of mass shootings both in schools and in the public, making it a hot button issue. Proponents argue that, if the government strictly controls the ownership of guns, such tragedies can be prevented. Most Americans have an obsession with guns because the law allows them to do so. Therefore, they are always ready to scoff at anyone trying to control gun ownership.
