This is easily driven by our easy access to firearms. Illegal or not legal? Easy access to guns is the most effective way to protect yourself from crime. Gun control laws affect everybody in society. Anyone can easily be harmed as well as be able to protect themselves. The first law regulating gun control was passed in 1934. 90 years ago. This problem intensified in the 1960s due to President John F. Kennedy’s assassination 61 years ago. Following the assassination, Congress passed the Gun Control Act of 1968. Our main reason to believe this is because of a specific interview with Ted Cruz about the topic of gun control and the way they captured him blatantly walking away from certain questions and topics in the interview. The interviewer brings up how easy gun access is for everyone. He gets visibly frustrated with the statement and begins walking away. This stands up behind liberals and proves how more conservative people tend to dodge and completely ignore important and relative information. Showing the readers this article right off the bat allows them to start to be skewed more democratically just because of the speechlessness from Cruz regarding gun regulation laws. We start with the title of our source clearly stating that the perspective of this entire issue is through the lens of the left side. Our main issue in this article is the misrepresentation of Republicans and where they stand on this issue. We don’t properly explain how guns should be regulated and how they can be used for protection. It mainly goes into how dangerous guns can be for all communities and minorities. They mention that the government should be the only one in charge of dangerous firearms and that society’s access to them shouldn’t be allowed. With the absence of information on the right’s viewpoint, this article is skewed towards the more left-conservative
