This quote relates to my topic because Robert was completely alone on his trip to the North pole. He blamed it on his higher education and how it put him in such a place that no one can relate to him.
Do you believe the creature in Gris Grimly 's Frankenstein is human? Yes, this creature was created with human parts and behaved like a human. The only thing is that this creature was created in a laboratory like a science experiment. This creature did some good and some bad and behaved like a human. After all I believe the creature is human.
Victor Frankenstein faces a difficult moral decision when he comes face to face with the monster in chapter 1 of volume three. His difficult decision is agreeing to create a second monster to accompany his already created monster. I find this to be a moral decision because he could agree to create another monster, therefore agreeing to devote several months to studying and creating this scary creature. He also has the option to say no, not create the monster, and put more lives in danger by making the monster angry. As the idea was presented to Victor he declined the request heavily and took the monsters words as an insult.
In the novel, Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley, the two main characters, Victor Frankenstein and his creature, both display a sense of moral ambiguity. Each character has committed both good and evil alike, and neither knew the consequences of what they had done. However, Victor Frankenstein is generally the morally ambiguous character by his treatment of his creation and his own imperious personality. He wanted to be able to help science by recreating life or bringing it back, but at the same time, he did not want to consider the consequences of doing so. Victor tries to prove himself as a good moral character in the relationship between his creation and himself.
She makes him seem like the most hideous thing ever seen by human eyes. She describes it as “I saw the dull yellow eye of the creature open; it breathed hard, and a convulsive motion agitated its limbs”(Shelly pg.79). She makes the reader feel bad for Victor because the reader knows he works hard on the creature. However, know reader should feel remorse for Victor leaves his creature.
Victor is stirred by his work, but not in a positive manner. He goes on to explain his feelings towards the creature by saying, “… my heart sickened and my feelings were altered to those of horror and hatred” (136). Victor is so bewildered and repulsed by the creature that he misses key signs of violence, from the creature, that may have saved Victor’s family had he not been so

In the film Mary Shelley 's Frankenstein the theme of mistreatment based off physical appearance is portrayed through Frankenstein 's monster. The society is often fearful of the creature and made judgements of his actions based solely off his disturbing physical appearance, without knowing his true characteristics. Even Victor, the man who created the fearful monster eventually abandons him because he is is appalled by his creation. He believed that by creating a being made of the finest parts, the end result would be of equal quality, but when the monster awakens, Victor can see what he has created and recognises that he has done wrong. The creation of an unnatural being, by unnatural means ultimately disgusts Victor.
A Human Monster Although humans are similar to other mammals around the world, the thing that most elevates them above these other creatures is human nature. Human nature is something that we all understand and experience, but is difficult to truly define. Our human nature is essentially centered around our want for social interaction, capacity for emotions, creative and higher level of thinking.

Frankenstein Literary Criticism Frankenstein, or the Modern Prometheus, is filled with motifs of Nature and companionship. During the Romantic period or movement, when the novel Frankenstein was written, nature was a huge part of romanticism. Nature was perceived as pure, peaceful, and almost motherly. As we read the novel through Victor Frankenstein 's perspective, we the readers can see how romanticized-nature is perceived as by those who find comfort in nature. This novel also contains, in addition to romantic elements, heavy-filled gothic scenes and descriptions.

Beauty and ugliness is often used to justify the reaction of others in the novel, Frankenstein; in which the relation between external appearance and internal desires are shown to be related. The theme of how appearance affects judgement is often demonstrated through the characters response to the monster’s physical being. Shelley depicts this situation through Dr. Victor Frankenstein, the Delacey family, and through the monster himself. The use of appearance to determine judgement is shown to be a negative habit. By automatically associating ugliness with evil, and beauty with innocence, society unintentionally develops a negative being in those considered ugly, while at the same creating an illusion of innocence over beautiful individuals.
