Lawful Lawbreaking? Civil disobedience is defined as a refusal to obey governmental demands or commands especially as a nonviolent and usually collective means of forcing concessions from the government (Merriam-Webster). People today will argue as to whether or not this is a good or bad movement. The way I see it, there is no issue with non-violent disobedience. People who do movements like this do not want to hurt anyone, they would simply like people to pay attention to their cause. Peaceful resistance is more positive than it is negative because it allows officials to see their cause for what it truly is, no violence.
