Judaism, Islam, and Christianity are all monotheistic and Abrahamic religions. Monotheism is the worship of one god. About 1800 B.C, Abraham made his covenant with God. Abraham moved to Canaan where he and his descendants would be blessed. The Israelites, believed to be Abraham's descendants, thought that if they kept following God’s rules they would be blessed for generations. Jews believe that Moses, a prophet of God conveyed the most important laws to him. Soon after Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt. At Mount Sinai, Moses received the Ten Commandments.
