Since we were little, monsters were among our biggest fears. We feared the monster in our closet, under the bed, in the woods. We all had our own imagination when it came to our personal monsters, but they were inspired by the monsters in popular culture, including Dracula, Frankenstein, Slenderman, and Bloody Mary. Monsters are evil, an exquisite amount of evil instincts. Take Mr. Hyde for example, an ugly, deformed, evil, puny guy. He meets the criteria to be thought of as a monster. All throughout The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Hyde has been described as pure evil. He never wanted to do good and has had repulsive, evilinstincs. He is so ugly that when others are around him they are in fear and grossed out. As Utterson describes, an unknown disgust, loathing and fear. The Minotaur also has this trait, of course. A head for a bull, and a human body isn’t so appealing. It’s a very hideous fearful look to posses. The Demogorgon also relates to this, with a venus fly trap looking head, a human like alien body. It looks so peculiar and strange, its ugly. You get scared when you watch the Demogorgon in action, jumping at people with its ugly face and huge disgusting
