Constitutional Convention The beginnings of the Convention (pre-constitution) began when Governor Edmund Randolph of Virginia presented and defended a plan for a new structure of government (called the "Virginia Plan") that had been chiefly drafted by fellow Virginia delegate, James Madison. The Virginia Plan called for a strong national government with both branches of the legislative branch apportioned by population. The plan gave the national government the power to legislate "in all cases in which the separate States are incompetent" and even gave a proposed national Council of Revision a veto power over state legislatures. Delegates from smaller states, and states less sympathetic to broad federal powers, opposed many of the provisions in the Virginia Plan.

She then begins to tell her story about how she missed her former lover Terrance. Augusten talks about how the kitchen ceiling is too low and it is crushing he and Natalie. Since we are all aware of the fact that Melinda’s traumatic event led to a certain degree of dehumanization for her, the following words intend to focus on and elaborate Melinda’s struggle in school; how she views her teachers, her marks, her periods and to some degree also her peers and classmates. Starting right at the beginning Melinda enters her high school life with a healthy amount of prejudice. Probably having heard or
From the start the crossing the racial boundaries between blacks and whites bring tragedy to the end. At the party in Felise’s house, Irene comments “It seems dreadfully warm in here. Mind if I open this widow? […] Open one of the long casement windows”(110) The importance on how warm Irene is reminds us the beginning of the novel, which happened on “a brilliant day, hot, with a brutal staring sun” (12).

Theme for “Lusus Naturae” Rejection can make one feel alone, helpless, and out of place, and it’s a feeling that can make someone feel like they are no good, or that they aren’t worthy of a good life. Cognitive Behavioral Psychology is based on the theory that a person’s thoughts are the main cause of his/her external actions as well as his/her emotions. This branch of psychology focuses on the present and not stressing over the past and future. It relates to the id, ego, and superego science of the brain, therefore supporting the statement that thoughts are the most influential cause of a person’s behavior. In Inside Out, Riley, the main character, is the only child of a family that just moved away from the home in Minnesota to their new home in San Francisco, thus causing the rise of sadness. Consequently, the movie portrays how Riley’s dynamic thoughts change her behavior throughout the movie.
The short story “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Charlotte Perkins Gilman is a story full of imaginative symbolism and descriptive settings. However, without the narrator’s unique point of view and how it affects her perception of her environment, the story would fail to inform the reader of the narrator’s emotional plummet. The gothic function of the short story is to allow the reader to be with the narrator as she gradually loses her sanity and the point of view of the narrator is key in ensuring the reader has an understanding of the narrator’s emotional and mental state throughout the story. It’s clear from the beginning of the story that the narrator’s point of view greatly differs from that of her husband’s and other family in her life.
