The Tragedy of Macbeth Persuasive Essay In the play Macbeth by William Shakespeare I believe that in the marriage between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth that Macbeth holds more power than Lady Macbeth. Macbeth has more power because he is in more of control than Lady Macbeth during the whole play. In the beginning of the play in Act 1 Macbeth doesn't really show that he has more power than Lady Macbeth and Lady Macbeth does not show that she has more power than Macbeth. In Act 2 Macbeth shows he has more power by killing the King. “I have done the deed. Didst thou hear a noise?” (Act 2. Scene 2. Line 14). When Macbeth says “I have done the deed” he is saying that he has killed the king. This shows that he has more power because he killed the the king which makes him have more power by killing and becoming the King which makes Lady Macbeth not have as much power because she is not the one who killed the king. “Most sacrilegious murder hath broke ope/ The Lord’s anointed temple and …show more content…

But in Act 2 Macbeth shows he has more power by killing the King. “I have done the deed. Didst thou not hear a noise?” (Act 2. Scene 2. Line 14). This is showing that Macbeth has more power because he has just killed the King. And through the rest of the play Macbeth shows to have more power than Lady Macbeth. In Conclusion Macbeth shows to have more power than Lady Macbeth through most the whole play until he and Lady Macbeth die in Act 5.
