The Tragedy of Macbeth Persuasive Essay In the play Macbeth by William Shakespeare I believe that in the marriage between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth that Macbeth holds more power than Lady Macbeth. Macbeth has more power because he is in more of control than Lady Macbeth during the whole play. In the beginning of the play in Act 1 Macbeth doesn't really show that he has more power than Lady Macbeth and Lady Macbeth does not show that she has more power than Macbeth. In Act 2 Macbeth shows he has more power by killing the King. “I have done the deed. Didst thou hear a noise?” (Act 2. Scene 2. Line 14). When Macbeth says “I have done the deed” he is saying that he has killed the king.
