The impact of segregation in "To Kill a Mockingbird" is most noticed during Tom Robinson's trial. Tom, a black man falsely accused of raping a white woman, the Jury is biased against him because of his race. Despite having convincing evidence in his favour, the biases of the all-white Jury and society prevent him from receiving a fair trial.
