Throughout the story ‘A Raisin in the Sun’ you can see Mama’s generation clash with Walter, Beneatha’s generation. ‘A Raisin in the Sun’ is a story about three generations of people living in one apartment who come into a great sum of money after their fathers death. Throughout the story you can see how the two of the generations argue and clash with each other about what the money should be used for.

A Hispanic man that works as a locksmith and tries to take care of his daughter and wife, and a Persian family man that is discriminated by an American in a shop and mistaking him from an Arabic man. Some of these people come in contact with each other in some way or another, in a negative situation that deals with racial stereotyping of each other and prejudices. (“Crash (2004 film),” 2015) The Hispanic man takes a distance from the stereotype that Hispanic men are gang members and criminals and does not want to be affiliated with that, he works as a locksmith to support his family. This stereotype was shown as an example when he was working for a white woman, as she loudly expresses her concern that he was going to steal they keys and give it to other gang members so they break in because of his background and his appearance.
Finding Forrester is a movie directed by Gus van Sant and produced by Sean Connery in the year 2000. The movie is about an old man who is lonely writer and a young boy (Jamal) whose main passions are writing and literature. Jamal met William Forrester and they little by little became friends. At the same time, Jamal is helping Forrester to face his internal fighting while Forrester helps Jamal to become an excellent writer. The plot develops some topics such as racism, solitude, friendship, etc.

INTRO In the 1930s the Southern states of America suffered from a strong discrimination and racial hatred towards colored people. They had no rights, no respect and were not allowed to go places white people went. In other words they were segregated from the rest of the society.
The novel “To Kill A Mockingbird” was written in 1960 by Harper Lee in the point of view of a young innocent girl named Scout. One of the main messages that Lee has (need a new word than – indicated or set out) is racism, it plays an important role which strongly impacts many character’s lives unfairly and changes the relationship between two. Harper Lee’s “To Kill A Mockingbird” shows that it is wrong to hurt someone who does no harm to you, for example, black people are innocent but no way did they have as many rights as white people did. Black people lived hard lives because society was judgemental, irrational and most importantly, racist. As Scout and Jem grow older they learn to cope, take responsibility and are introduced to new aspects of life, one of which is racism.
White Fragility is a term coined by Dr. Robin DiAngelo meaning “a state in which even a minimum amount of racial stress becomes intolerable, triggering a range of defensive moves.” DiAngelo believes white people in North America live in a social environment that insulates them from race-based stress, due to their privilege as part of the cultural majority. The idea of white fragility entails that members of the Caucasian race do not struggle as much as minorities and, through their ignorance, they believe they understand and can relate to the struggles minorities endure on a daily basis. Director Jordan Peele demonstrates this concept of white fragility through his thriller suspense film, Get Out. This film to transports the viewer to the perspective of the white dominance in America towards minorities and how powerful their role of control is in the U.S. Through projecting some of his own fears, Peele approach this horrifying reality through dark plot twists and comedic satire.

Is part of the quote said in the opening scene to the movie Crash released in 2004. The movie deals with many social topics that were big at that moment in time and still are thirteen years later in 2017. Three of the main topics are racism, prejudice, and stereotypes. Racism has been seen throughout years and is still being seen today in 2017.
Centuries of Racism Racism has been a major issue for centuries, and continuing to be an issue in today society. Even through the world has progressed a large amount over the last couple centuries, both socially and physically the racism, hatred towards one another and discrimination has continued to be cause controversy world wide. Racism is extremely embedded through different traditions, beliefs and values which results in ignorance and foolishness disgards. After reading the novel “The Man In The High Castle” by Philip K Dick I found similarities dealing with racism in the movie “Get Out” directed by Jordan Peele. Robert Childan from the novel is very similar to the character Missy and Dean Armitage in the film.
People’s appearance can sometimes trick a person into their true identity. In the film, “Get Out” by Jordan Peele, the character Rose is introduced as a charming girlfriend, but at the end, her true form is revealed causing a life and death situation. This movie is based on how an interracial couple is going to visit Rose’s parents house. The irony falls there because she knows exactly what it is going to result at the parents home and her boyfriend, Chris, is going to be the victim. Although the knowledge that is out there about White people not liking African Americans and doing bad things to them, now in this movie it's seen as if the Whites want to be them.
Get Out is a horror film released earlier this year in February. The film centers on Chris Washington, a black man, and his white girlfriend, Rose Armitage. Rose invites Chris to a weekend trip to meet her parents. When meeting Chris, Rose’s parents are overly accommodating towards Chris and constantly speak about how much they love President Obama and other African-American people. Chris attributes this as awkward attempts to deal with their interracial relationship.

In the film adaptation of The Help and the text version of Lorraine Hansberry's “A Raisin in The Sun”, racial discrimination is a major theme explored. Racial discrimination is a major theme that both sources portray. There are laws that make discrimination illegal in The United States but it people still suffer from it, however, The Help and “A Raisin if The Sun” portray more ways in which this problem can be eliminated through resistance, getting support from the oppressors, and showing the intimidators their behaviors and attitudes.

Worried that Rose’s parents might be racist, he later discovers that the family has several black “servants” who behave oddly, as if they are controlled. He is later unsettled by the visitors at the party who made racially-charged and gauche comments, chuckling over Chris’s built body and announcing, “Black is in fashion!” Chris later realized the chill that he had sensed was right on the mark. The Armitage family turn out not just to be racist, but to be abusing as well as profiting from abducting blacks.
