(AGG) Anthony Anaxagorou once said “Rebellion is when you look society in the face and say I understand who you want me to be, but I’m going to show you who I really am.” (Anaxagorou, Anthony). (BS-1) In the beginning of the novel Fahrenheit 451, Guy Montag accepts his society and blindly follows it without any deep consideration. (BS-2) But from certain experiences, Montag comes to realize that he is not actually satisfied with his life because it lacks genuine or valuable relationships, which eventually drives him to find the truth about his society by making him question it and think about it. (BS-3) When Montag does find the truth that all relationships in his society are void of genuinity or of value, he rebels against society completely
