“You can’t pray a lie- I found that out”(Twain 220) discover the adventurous Huck Finn. In Mark Twain's Novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Huck Finn comes across several moral struggles throughout the novel. In many situations Huck does not know what to do because he can’t ask anyone, so then Huck has to rely on society. Hucks struggles help improve him and make better and more mature and compassionate human being. Hucks encounter many struggles throughout the novel, knowing if he should turn Jim in, to take money from the Duke and the King, and to listen to Tom sawyer when they are trying to help Jim escape. Huck is unsure how to react, when the Duke and the King con the Innocent Wilks brothers. Huck decides he will “ I’ll go and search them rooms”(Twain 182). He steals the money, so he can give it back to the Wilk’s. Huck didn’t know where to hide the money, so he put it in the coffin. He had to put it in the coffin, because someone was coming, and he didn’t want to get caught, because then he would have a lot of explaining to do. The difficulty is Tom is making the escape way to complicated.Tom says “But it’s to blame’ simple; there ain’t nothing to do”( Twain 240) regarding Huck's idea to the escape. Tom wants the adventure and drama, unlike Huck, who Just wants to get Jim free and get back on the river. Tom just wants to make it confusing, impossible, hard, and very dangerous. Huck is way more sensible, but Tom will not listen to him because he is to Imaginative. Tom also does not care about Jim, he just wants a funny story to tell about the escape. Tom wants to cut Jim's leg off when they have no need to do so. Huck on the other hand, wants to get Jim out safely, because Huck cares about Jim. Huck doesn’t really have a choice, to follow Tom’s plan, but in the end it works
