Romeo and His Stupidity The short story “Romeo and Juliet” by Sunita Apte is a story that was adapted from the play by William Shakespere. The main idea of this story is Romeo’s feelings changed within a day. Although the character, Romeo was desperately infatuated with beautiful Rosaline. Rosaline behaved as though Romeo did not exist. Romeo’s friends, Benvolio and Mercutio devised a plan to get Romeos mind off the heartless Rosaline. The Capulets were throwing a masked ball. The three friends would sneak in unrecognized in their disguises. Benvolio urged Romeo to go, ushered that there would be some other ladies shining at the feast. Romeo complained how there would be “no other maiden that will shine as fair as my Rosaline.”
