The theory of a utopian society has been a recurring theme in the human consciousness for centuries. This concept can be traced back to Plato’s Atlantis. The story of Atlantis was the first utopian model for a society. According to Plato, Atlantis had the perfect balance between advance technology, civilization, and nature. Willy Wonka is about a young poor boy named Charlie who ends up winning one of the five golden tickets that the famous chocolatier (Willy Wonka) sent out in his candy bars. Charlie and his grandpa, along with the other four young children, all go to the chocolate factory for a tour. The tour turns into a thrilling experience when various bad things start happening to each of the winners. For example, all of the children are escorted into this giant room in which everything is made out of an edible substance. At first this looks like a perfect world for children. All of the children disperse and start eating off the land, until one of the kids decides to start drinking the liquid from the chocolate river. Wonka immediately tells the boy to stop, but he does not listen. Eventually the boy falls in and is sucked up by a tube that transports him to the fudge making room. It is also relevant to note that the young boy who fell into the river represented gluttony. The character is depicted as a heavy set child who is constantly eating. In result of his negative behavior, one could say nature took its revenge on the boy by having the river swallow him
