Who’s responsible for the murderous acts, and death of Macbeth?
Throughout the play, the flaws of each character slowly begin to unravel. Macbeth becomes this naive and selfish man, Lady Macbeth encourages him to commit these horrendous crimes, while scolding him for his mistakes, and The three Witches, being the root of all evil, encourage Macbeths behavior in an indirect way. Now, some may think that both, the Macbeths, and the Witches are equally at fault, but I disagree. The witches had the most impact on Macbeth, and should take responsibility for everything that followed.
In act one, scene one, The three Witches get together, and have a small talk about Macbeth, then part ways, which seems to be, well, the start of everything. In act one, scene three, the witches meet again, except this time they appear in front of Macbeth and Banquo. There, they tell the men about their prophecies; Macbeth becoming King, and Thane of Cawdor, and Banquo’s son becoming the future King, which at first, is hard to believe, until Macbeth hears the news, that he is in fact, the new Thane of Cawdor. Hearing this sparks curiosity in both Macbeth, and Banquo, which later results in the Macbeths plotting against King Duncan. …show more content…

In act four, scene one, the witches gather around a cauldron, and cast some sort of spell on Macbeth, as they toss absurd objects into the cauldron, like a toad that has been dead for awhile, the “Tooth of a wolf,” and even the “Fillet of a snake,” which, are all, well, sort of odd. Let’s ignore the weird side of act four and focus on the fact that this spell, could, again, as I’ve said, have a MAJOR impact on Macbeth and his decision
