The Friar, from Shakespeare's drama, Romeo and Juliet, is to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet. This is because he first gave Juliet the poison. The Friar claims, “Peace, ho, for shame! Confusions cure lives not in these confusions. Heaven and yourself had part in this fair maid”(V.5.65). In this quote, he is saying how sad he is and how he doesn't know what is happening to her.
