Riot Games is a player-focused game company created in 2006 by a couple of gaming entrepreneurs. These people believed that player-focused games can result in amazing, popular games. In 2009, Riot Games released its first and most famous game, League Of Legends, to great player support. This game is now the most played PC game online, with over 67 million players every month. Riot Games is a service company and there are 1000-5000 employees working in Riot Games currently. Riot Games competes in a monopolistic competition. Some companies that Riot competes with is Blizzard Entertainment, Valve Corporation, Romino Games, and High-Rez Studios. Riot has been in business since September of 2006, recently passing its 8th anniversary.The company is currently in a state of growth, while increasing its profit and hiring new employees at a rapid rate. Their game has gotten more famous every single day, adding more profit at a constant rate. Riot as a company will face many different challenges as it continues to grow. Riot will have to learn how to manage the professional scene of its gaming, while also maintaining the same level of proficiency for casual gamers.
