Imagine meeting a random person, then soon both of you became closer, not only you guys got to know each other better but were able to travel through doors to different places to escape your city which is tearing up because of war. Well in the book Exit West by Mohsin Hamid you would find that the relationship between Saeed and Nadia very interesting. From the beginning to the end you can tell that their relationship changes a lot by their actions. At the beginning of the book Saeed and Nadia were both strangers to each other then ended up together. After that during the middle of the book Saeed and Nadia traveled through doors and realize that thing between them became weird. Finally at the end they were separated but still remained friends. To begin with Nadia and Saeed met each other in a class. Saeed had a thing for Nadia but she never really cared about it. Later when Saeed talked to Nadia for the first time he asked her out for coffee but she denied and said maybe later. Saeed thought about Nadia the previous day and realized about his parents met. The second time They spoke to each other saeed was invited to Nadia's house. After that they constantly met each other but Nadia was still unsure about her feelings for Saeed. …show more content…

On the day before their departure Nadia promised Saeed’s father she’ll always be by Saeed’s side. As they both left their hometown to travel through the doors, they start to realize that the way they talk to each other is different. Saeed and Nadia had many arguments but still stayed together. Nadia still has feeling for Saeed and so does Saeed but now Saeed just wants the best for Nadia. As they treat each other differently they start to notice that there was a gap growing between them Nadia wants to get better between them them but she starts to see Saeed more like a
