It is interesting watching the reactions of the Moms to each other’s behaviours. Another section of Dance Moms found entertaining is finding out what happens behind the scenes of the fake smiles and dancing and to see how hectic and dramatic show business is. Dance Moms has an educational aspect as it discusses how people strive to get to the stage that they are and inspires other young and older girls to start dance. The seriousness of the competition makes Dance Moms more interesting to the audience, “That’s what I’m preparing you for, and that’s what this journey has been all along”. Another intriguing technique used to entertain the audience is when the producer included phone conversations so that the audience can hear first-hand that what is said on reality TV is actually true.
Its important to promote a sense of belonging in the setting as when children grow up, they need to feel that they belong to the group, whether that group is their family, their culture, the community they live

As a child, I was always extremely passionate about dance as a mode of expression for myself. However, my family’s financial situation never permitted me to take proper classes, and for a while I felt that a dream within myself had been crushed. When high school rolled around, I searched for an activity that would satisfy my dance needs and stumbled upon the extracurricular activity Color Guard, which consisted of flag, rifle, and sabre spinning. I grew excited at the idea of joining an activity in my high school, but what really drew me in was the dance aspect. I would finally be able to live out my dream without bound…or so I thought.
What does it mean to refer to children as social actors? (500) Social actors are intentional actors with their own individual wants and desires; they also have relationship with other social actors. In this essay I will discuss the importance of following children’s interests, the stages of development and the importance of adult providing appropriate opportunities for the children to be creative. Also I discussed the benefit of music. Schemas form part of Piaget’s theory of cognitive development. Schemas are an organised way of making sense of experiences. While going through the different stages of development children will go through a stage of accommodation this is creating new schemas and adjusting old schemas as old schemas do not capture the environment correctly.
I have always had a burning passion for dance since I was a young girl. My first time on a stage, I was immediately hooked. The overpowering feeling of a crowd of people watching me as I do what I love, is a feeling I have always admired. Dance has developed my character and personality in many different ways. I have been taught responsibility, discipline, integrity and much more.
The adult also has to be clear on the range of potentials for learning that play offers such as: • Developing skills and abilities • Providing opportunities to co-operate • Developing friendships • Taking turns • Resolving conflicts and solving problems • Developing knowledge and understanding of the world.
After my parents recovered from that embarrassment and a bit of time had passed, They suggested that I attempt dance. The studio in which I attended was located in close proximity to my grandma’s house, so that way
Throughout this course of four weeks, my perspective of child development has changed drastically in this short amount of time. This was my first class that was related to child development and there was a lot of material that was important to learn and understand. I came to this class with not much knowledge, but I am definitely leaving this class with an abundance of information that I will be able to use in my career or just in general. Discontinuous Within the process of child development, my view is based upon that is children are constantly growing through stages which is a discontinuous process.
With the help of my instructors, I am able to work towards improving elements I have always struggled with, such as balance. Even outside of class, like auditioning for Mesa 's dance concert, I have found that the structure and organization of these auditions has helped prepare me for audition processes in the real world. Picking up and retaining choreography quickly is something I tend to struggle with, but these auditions give me the practice necessary to perform to my greatest ability and figure out methods to be on top of my game. Dance is like therapy to me, and after a long day of work or other classes, it feels comforting to have my dance classes as an outlet to express myself and exert my energy into something positive. On that same note, I have felt overwhelming support from my dance instructors at Mesa.
