Most of the medical schools are challenging to promote recent changes in health care field. Schools are changing their way to teach medical science because of following reasons. First, health care service and medical science are continuously changed. Every other day a new treatment technology or new drug, even new medical knowledge release into the medical industry. Second, young adult’s way to learn is changing a lot. Students are using high technologies and make their learning process easier and more interesting. The professor stated following strategies to overcome those challenges when the school leaders try to change the old curriculum.
- To lead this curriculum changes as same as campaign chairman. The leaders would have to see this as like a whole united campaign activity.
- To create a Strategic Plan to change and keep stick tightly with it.
- Leaders have to have certain visions on new educational technology, integration of science and clinical field, evidence based method, assessment and feedback, and motivation and articulation in order to produce successful changes.
- To allow new people from the variety of diversity to participate. These changes do not get succeeded if there is no active and great involvement besides faculty members. When more people such as students, patients, alumni, or other institution get involved into the action, the changes would be likely to be succeeded. They always brought new idea of thinking, better action, and better vision elements with their strong enthusiasm and creativity.
- Create a new one and try it in real life. Once the new one tested, the better ways and examples come up with the pilot.
- Always encourage, reward and energize
