I believe that learning a international language is very important part of school curriculum. The problem that is represented today in Americas society and culture is that we have to learn a specific language like Spanish that would be very beneficial for individuals. In this essay I will explain my proposal for learning Spanish in high school, create the plans that we would require to be successful, and specify the necessary resources for this to work. When you learn a particular language you get to acquire a understanding of their society and their culture. I would encourage that it should become a second language to us.

My proposal is that Spanish should be a required class and not an elective. I believe that they, the students, can have a choice if they would want to take it for the mandatory two years or the option of having it for four years. For this to work it would be a mandatory class for ninth and tenth grade. When taking the class, I think that the students should be aware of all the amazing opportunities that can come from learning another language. For example, Multiple Jobs that you can get, Communicating with friends, and Communicating with Family. When you learn another language, it is essential to have an fluent teacher because they would better understand how to teach and what they think the students should learn. …show more content…

The first action, would be to get the support of the faculty. Then the faculty can put together a presentation for the principal on why and how the students would benefit from that curriculum. The Principal could take it to the school board for approval. Upon the approval of the School board, they would take it to the North Carolina State Board of Education. After reviewing the benefits to the students, hopefully it would be approved. Once approved it would become required by all high schools in that
