He couldn’t believe in one night someone could change like he did. It was a miracle and this how. In the play and in the movie, Scrooge both unappreciated Christmas the way it was. In the movie and the play, Scrooge passed by some carolers.
He enjoyed Christmas Eve with Bob and his family and lived very happily. He changed the way he acted with the whole town as well! The spirit of the future did many things. He showed Scrooge his dead body and grave.
Scrooge dislikes Christmas, anytime anyone says merry Christmas he says bah humbug and goes back to work. For instance, when Fred his nephew come into his counting house and invites him for Christmas dinner he said bah humbug and waved him goodbye. Scrooge hats giving his money away as an illustration in the play that we watched two people came to ask for money and he said no and to leave. Scrooge is a very cheap man, one example of this is that he had a girlfriend that wanted to marry him but he loved money more than her.
We come to learn that Scrooge changes with his attitude. One quote from the text that accurately confirms this is…“No warmth could warm, no wintry weather could chill him. ”(page 3). This excerpt from the text explains how troubled and insecure he is inside, using a metaphorical perspective. We, as the readers, can draw inferences and conclusions on how loathsome he seems.
Scrooge’s fiancé leaves Scrooge due to his greed and feels like she made the mistake as shown in the text “do not let her go”(Horovitz 257). This shows a sign of Scrooge‘s guilt, intimidated by his decisions and is starting to change. Scrooge gives a turkey and a raise to Bob Cratchit. This shows change in Scrooge's character as shown in the text “ Oh, I didn’t tell you? Yes, I’ve written the precise address down just here on this . . .
”Scrooge changes from these traits through his experience with the ghost of the past,present,and future. When the ghost of Christmas past visits Scrooge,it shows that on pg.31 and pg.32,where talking about his past and how he should change the way he acts and saying
In the snowy, foggy 1800’s Scrooge’s nephew passes by his office. “Merry Christmas, and God save you,” he says. Scrooge respond with calling him a humbug. Why is Scrooge so rude. Scrooge was left at school with no one to play with and his dad not there, and his mother died.
He left all his friends and family because he was more interested in his gain rather than anyone else's. All that is about to change when Scrooge over time, begins to understand happiness for the first time in a long time. Once the spirit of Jacob Marley had visited him. Scrooge had been met by a couple spirits. The Ghosts of Christmas past and present had shown Scrooge many things that he had forgotten.

Scrooge in "The Christmas Carol" shows how much he hates Christmas, and everyone he works with to change to a happy person with the help of others. Scrooge emphasizes, "What a fine day fellow... An Intelligent boy, a remarkable boy. " This is a critical part of this novel because this shows Scrooge overcame his dislike of Christmas and his entire disliking of people. Instead of rudely gesturing to people, he is now starting to act nicer, and more mature.
Tiziano Vecellio, known as Titian was an extraordinary artist who made many works of art during his long life. According to the traditional date of birth, Titian was born in 1477, but many critics today say his birth date is around 1488/90. Scrooge’s lonely and unsociable personality is show here because Scrooge doesn’t reply kindly to anyone who offers up a friendly greeting to him, and in fact replies by growling, and snarling. However Scrooge realizes he must change his bad habits of loneliness. The first thing he does is actually accept Freds invitation to a party! Then secondly at Fred’s party, he talks and socializes with everyone.
One night, in a dream, he is warned by his deceased friend, Marley, that three spirits would come to him. The first spirit is the spirit of Christmas past, and it shows him an event from his past. In the event, Scrooge is seen leaving his lover because she is too poor. Scrooge regrets this decision greatly. The next spirit tells him about the present, and it shows him how his employee, Bob Cratchit, is suffering.
