I would rather live in Athens because, I think they have a good government system. They allowed only free men over the age 18 to become citizens. 500 people would run daily activities or suggest new laws. This supports my evidence cause, I would like to live somewhere where I know under control and I am safe. Also that the government doesn 't just think for themselves but the entire economy. Another reason I would rather live in athens is because, Athens was near a sea that also had it’s good harbors. The Athens was based on their trade, which so they had lots of goods and resources. This supports my reasoning because I would want to live near water that I can access easily , especially with the unpredictable weather. I wouldn’t want to live in sparta because , they are ruled by a Council Of Elders; also did not trade with other economies.
This supports my evidence because, only a small group of people made laws and decisions, and know one got freedom of speech and no voting as well. They didn’t trade with others because they are known for their farming and they are isolated because of mountainous land. Which If it were me I would not want to be isolated from others. Another reason would be that, At age 7 spartan began their military training. In sparta the purpose of education was to produce capability for men and woman to go to war or fighting. This supports my reading because, I would not want to spend my life as a kid in a military base, and not live a happy childhood.
