"...I hate the word as I hate hell, all Montagues and thee."(1.1.28) In the book of Romeo and Juliet there were many deaths and tragedies. Warning signs were also a big part of the play. Many characters deserved to be punished or pardoned. The nurse should be pardoned. One reason the nurse should be pardoned is because she has been with Juliet since she was young and takes care of her. For example when Juliet talks to nurse she always helps her out and gives good advice. Nurse treated Juliet like a mother. The second reason nurse should be pardoned is because she knew about Juliet and Romeo's marriage and kept it a secret. That was a sign of trust from the nurse. The third reason nurse should be pardoned is because she tried her best to take care of Juliet and help her out even though sometimes she made mistakes. “Thou wast the prettiest babe that e’er i nursed and i might live to see thee married once, i have my wish.” This proves she should be pardoned because she was loyal and helped Juliet throughout her life. …show more content…

One reason Lord Capulet should be punished is because he forced a marriage on Juliet. For example when mother came up to talk to Juliet about the marriage Juliet started crying. When Lord capulet went to talk to her he started yelling at her telling her to leave the house and starve on the streets if she did not get married to Prince. Another example as to way Lord Capulet should be punished is because he was abusive physically and gave no attention to caring for her. The third example of why he should be punished is because he tried kicking his own daughter out of the house to starve. "I'll to the Friar to know his remedy. If all else fail, myself have power to die." This proves he should be punished because he was abusive and had no care for his own
