Friar Lawrence To Blame For Romeo And Juliet

In “Romeo and Juliet” the ones to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s death are themselves. Romeo is responsible for Juliet and his death. Because of Romeo’s rage of killing Tybalt he was banished from the town and was made to live far away from Juliet, causing her grief. Juliet’s grief ends up killing her, because she threatens to kill herself if Friar Lawrence doesn’t help her make a plan to get back with Romeo. The plan ends up messing up, and both Romeo and Juliet die. Other than Romeo, Juliet is also to blame for their death. If Juliet didn’t just think through the plan the outcome could have been better. Some might say that in “Romeo and Juliet” Friar Lawrence was at fault for their death because he was the one to come up with the plan. He gave Juliet the idea to fake her death so Romeo can come and get her once she wakes up…(citation). Friar Lawrence was forced to come up with an idea. Juliet threatened to kill herself in his cell and he didn’t want that. He married Romeo and Juliet to bring peace to the capulets and montagues. If Juliet had not forced Friar Lawrence to come up with a plan none of this would have happened. Or if Romeo didn’t tell Friar Lawrence to marry Juliet and him, the act of him leaving the town wouldn’t have brought Juliet much grief. In “Romeo and Juliet” many argue that the Nurse is also at fault. Others speculate that the Nurse was at fault because she let Juliet deceive her parents and allowed Juliet to meet up with Romeo. All the nurse really wanted was for Juliet to be happy. She never intended to make her kill herself for Romeo. Once Romeo told her the news about the marriage she tried to make excuses and fake an injury when it was time to tell Juliet the news.
