Women deserve the same pay as men in society because women work just as hard as men. For most of history women did not have the same rights as men. They were not allowed to vote or to own property. They did not have access to the same schools, and they could not work at the same jobs. Despite that, women have made important contributions to the world. Some did so by fighting for women’s rights. Others made their mark in a particular field, such as science, the arts, government, business, sports, and social reform. According to Helen Mirren, ”The role of women has always been undervalued in the spy world, always undermined in terms of recognition. Unfairly so. What should matter is how hard you work and what amount of work you can get done. This suggests that whether you get paid more or less it should not be determined as if you 're a female or male because if women work just as hard as men they should get the same pay.
