The significance of Christmas is rooted in the belief that the birth of Jesus was a miraculous event that brought hope and salvation to the world, and the holiday is an opportunity for Christians to reflect on the significance of Jesus' life and teachings.
There are 3,418,059,380 women in the world (Geohive.com, 2015) and yet, women, in 2010, got paid a staggering 19% difference in wage on a universal standpoint (Economist, 2011). Such contributing factors as this (wage), has created an overwhelming notion of gender inequality leading to such things as segregation in the workforce across the globe. Ethos is universally known as the ethical appeal, convincing one of a person’s character (Courses.durhamtech.edu, 2015). The staggering numbers of economic contributions of women compared to men has however, highlighted that there are fewer women to men ratios in the workforce due to the where we live, maternal implications (pregnancies), upbringing and education.
Many people would agree that a hero is not necessarily someone who saves lives, but someone who is courageous enough to help people in need no matter what their situation is. In the literary work, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, the reader is introduced to a character named Atticus, a lawyer and a father of two children. Throughout the novel, Atticus teaches his kids, Jem and Scout, life lessons through his heroic actions. Despite living in Alabama during a racist time period, Atticus decides to full take on the task of defending a black man in court against a white woman. Atticus displays heroism and courage before, during and after the Tom Robinson trial in order to set an example for his children and the town of Maycomb.
Yet, we have no excitement and enthusiasm for the One who saved our very souls. It’s something to ponder as we enter into a season dedicated to the proclamation of the birth of the Savior. The child welfare has had a major impact on children lives throughout decades. The Poor laws was designed to help the poor and their family. Some suggest that The Poor laws basically mandated the community to care for their poor whom were unable to work. Those that could work were expected to do so (Stern, Axinn, 8th edition). This law led to family suffering as well as their children.
The purpose of this research project is to find information and create a booklet for children and their parents that cover some issues that they may be facing. The topics that the booklet cover are: bullying, food insecurities, homelessness, depression and anxiety. The goal is to provide information that will help children and families that might be facing one or more of these issues overcome the issues and give them information to resources that can help. This project started because I wanted to create something that could be useful to children and their families, so I started brainstorming on how or what could do that, then I came up with the idea of this booklet.
Today's kids are essential to society since they are our future; they hold the way to change, and thus an effective future, in their grasp. Along these lines, it is society's obligation to furnish them with a total training that shows them how to cooperate effectively, how to question what is before them, and how to be impetuses of progress. This instruction begins with what youngsters gain from their folks and from what they realize in the initial couple of years of their lives. This underlying instruction impacts whatever remains of their lives, what's more, inalienably society's future.
Walking into a high school, it is not uncommon to hear teenagers complain about the strains of an education. They may not realize, however, the numerous benefits of learning. Education is important because it makes the leaders of tomorrow more capable of dealing with real-world issues and eventually leads to economic growth, sustaining society. Any long-time teacher is familiar with a teenager's uninterested groan and the following, "When will we actually use this?"
On the 2015 PISA, a test given around the world designed to assess education systems, the U.S. ranked 36 out of 65 countries on the math section. That is worse than half of the countries in the world. I am convinced this was not caused by dumb students, but by bad teaching. The teachers are not to blame. They were taught the same way, and they were trained to teach this way, so this is the only way of teaching they know.

As the supply of papyrus starts to run out, parchment was commonly used to write on until the Chinese, during the Han Dynasty, invented a new writing material widely used until now, which is paper. I have been fortunate to travel to 12 countries and, as a result, I have experienced a variety of methods of transportation across the Global North and South. One of my most memorable trips was to Nairobi, Kenya in 2013 and it was my first visit to a major city in the Global South. While I was in Nairobi, I instantly began noticing the confusion and disorganization that Kenyans endure in their daily commutes. Amidst the physical chaos of heavy traffic and flouted rules I saw the private mini bus system called Matatus, which as a system present an infrastructural problem because they are often unsafe and act illegally. This paper will side with the Neoliberal perspective and argue that Nairobi’s mass transportation system is inefficient because
