I have always known or have been aware of the fact that the Bible was Divinely Authored, Inspired by God, as well as containing unique writing styles in Human Literature, full of remarkable wisdom. However, I have not completely understood the Need, Nature, and Role of the Bible.

We need the Bible because none of us can completely live without the knowledge of the Word of God. A righteous life is based on obeying the commandments of God. We can trust the Bible, because the Word of God is true and its promises are continually being fulfilled. The Bible is alive and it continually speaks to our hearts wherever we are. The Word of God is full life. It is sharper than the any sword, and it penetrates our thoughts and desires, showing us who and what we really are.

The nature of the Bible expresses inspiration, inerrancy, and infallible qualities. The Bible is composed of 66 books written over a vast span of time. Forty authors of various time periods, backgrounds, education levels, and experiences wrote the books of the Bible to fit together perfectly. They all tell one story, with one theme, without contradictions when interpreted correctly. The Bible is very important to the Christian, as it is the written Revelation of God, or the written Word. It aids in informing us about our condition, the sin condition of humanity, and underscores the need for a Savior. It is the written Revelation of the will of God for mankind, and shows us how to develop a bright relationship with God. The Bible shows us how to live in Jesus. Therefore, Bible Study is also very important, because after it points us to Jesus, it enables us to grow in Him.
