Factors affecting vernacular architecture
• Climate: Climate, in particular, produces certain easily observed effects on architectural forms. For example, the proportion of window area to wall area becomes less as one move toward the equator. In warm areas, people shun the glare and heat of the sun, as demonstrated by the decreasing size of the windows. Climate can be studied on two bases macro and micro climate and both affects the structures equally.
Climate is one of the major factors which affect the buildings. We can see it when we will peep down in the forms of different climates (cold and cloudy, warm and humid, hot and dry, composite, cold and sunny). We can identify the structures by only seeing it as for example if we will see the

The number of family members who are going to share that space is also a consideration for the structure. For example how they are preparing the food or how people are interacting these all cultural consideration will help to develop a design. The culture of ancestors is also a factor.

There are many outstanding and marvelous examples of great architects which reflect and give essence of vernacular architecture, the wise use of materials, low costing, balance with nature etc. they generally respect this concept because there are many constraints for the builders and as everyone knows that Constraints play a large part in sustainability. However, the word sustainability itself should be the most important constraint on the design Decisions.
Le Corbusier is the architect whose forms are most influenced by vernacular architecture as compared to most of the modernist. Corbusier was a pioneer in the modern movement, producing a series of architectural masterpieces like villas and theoretical urban
