Methane is a greenhouse gas, methane is a high “global warming potential” methane is one of the worst of the greenhouse gases. It do not have any effect on humans health, but also in close space methane could cause suffocation.

Some interesting facts about methane is that is a colourless gas and is also an invisible substance. Methane is odorless just when is it pure methane but if it is mixed with another substance that have a strong odor methane can also become a substance with a strong odor. Methane is a strong greenhouse gas and is also a big ingredient in natural gas. Methane is also a greenhouse with a big global warming potential of approximately 22. Methane can be an asphyxiant gas it would affect the air (oxygen) we all need to breath specially if is a close place, the oxygen could decrease and caused suffocation or loss of consciousness. Or it's also can be effects as headache, nauseous, vomiting or other effects. Methane is the result from decomposition of some organic matters when there is no oxygen. Even this gas could cause all this to humans, it's also do not affect the human life.
