Eddard Stark is the Lord of Winterfell, Warden of the North, and is in the House Stark. He agreed to become the hand of the king when King Robert Baratheon asked him to, and he is also the father of the following major and minor characters found in this novel: Robb Stark, Jon Snow, Sansa Stark, Arya Stark, Bran Stark, and Rickon Stark. Daenerys Targaryen is the “Mother of Dragons,” and is forced to marry a Dothraki leader, Khal Drogo, by her brother Viserys Targaryen for his own selfish benefits in seeking power. She is one of the reasons why her brother, husband, and unborn child are deceased. Joffrey Baratheon, who was thought to be the king’s son, was actually the inbred son of Jaime and Cersei Lannister; accordingly, he became king of the seven kingdoms when King Robert Baratheon died in a “hunting accident.” Once he became king, he accused Eddard stark for “treason” and beheaded him, even though he was the father of his soon to be wife, Sansa Stark. …show more content…
