With a goal to inspire and a passion to pursue, New Berlin Blitz has founded five FIRST LEGO League teams with intentions to educate the younger minds in our community. To reach students in early elementary, New Berlin Blitz is in the works of starting a Jr. FLL team at Poplar Creek elementary. Our FLL teams are enrolled at two district elementary schools and one private school. We are currently working to expand even further, and hope to initiate FLL teams at the remaining two district elementary schools. Founded three years ago, these FLL teams have exceeded our expectations.
Within this essay logos is expressed numerous times and is shown in a great way. “One recent study found that between 1999 and 2009, 86 terrorist plots against Americans have been foiled.” (Holder, Napolitano, and Clapper, 707) shows they have really dug up some evidence and know their facts. The United States has really stepped up their game after the tragic 9/11 tragedy on keeping the residents of this great country safe. Not only is it their responsibility but ours as citizens of the United States to keep safe and the authors really express this throughout the essay.
As World War II kept raging on in 1945, the US decided that they were going to end the Second World War with an action that is still remembered even in today's time. During World War II, the US made a tough but reasonable decision to drop atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to finally end the war between Japan and to end the Second World War. With the more and more wins that American had against Japan, Japan would not surrender and rather commit suicide and take out as many US lives as possible with them. After witnessing these horrific actions of the Japanese soldiers, Marine captain Justice Chamber says about how to win the war against Japan even though they won’t surrender is, “How to defeat an enemy that could not, would not admit defeat?... “To win the war and get it over with, just kill off many of the other sides, make it terrible, and the war will stop”(Doc3).
The U.S. Air Force is assigned to the protection and defense of American air space in The U.S. and around the world, and continues to implement fear in the minds of America’s
World War II was a global war that covering every continent and most countries in the world. Starting in 1939 and continues until the end in 1945, although there were a conflicts began earlier. The real cause of this war is still debating. Whether it is the unfair ofTreaty of Versailles, world economic problem, the failure of League of Nations, the usurpation of power by some group of people, etc.
The U.S. carelessly made decisions about the atomic bomb and how it would be used. The United State’s main focal point was to assure that Japan will surrender but the U.S. never thought about the outcomes and how it would affect Japan. Doc A states, “Truman believed that it was his duty as president to use every weapon available to save American lives.” This reveals how the president selfishly made this decision thinking only about his nation’s safety while not even considering the lives that would be deeply affected in Japan. Document A again explains how American officials were already debating on how to use the atomic bomb without even knowing how this powerful bomb would work.
America's Invovlement in World War II Pacific Warfront America's involvement in WWII began with one of the Pacific Ocean Warfront Battles. On December 7, 1941, Japan invaded and bombed the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. This battle was unexpected and destroyed many United States battleships, destroyers, and aircrafts. It also killed and wounded thousands of soldiers and even some civilians. The next day the United States declared war on Japan and entered WWII.
On August 8, 1945, the first atomic bomb was dropped over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. This was the world’s first deployed atomic bomb, and it had devastating effects on the citizens of Japan. Immediately 80,000 individuals were killed, and thousands later died from radiation exposure. The United States is only nation to have ever used atomic ordnance in warfare (“Atomic Bomb Dropped”). This event in history supports that the United States’ decision to drop such calamitous weapons on Japan are due to their superior view of themselves.
In an attempt to get Japan to surrender to the Allies, in August 1945, the United States dropped two atomic bombs on the nation. The first bomb was dropped on Hiroshima and the second on Nagasaki. Although these bombs did contribute to Japan’s surrender and the end of the war, the use of this atomic weapon was an irrational and horrible decision. The United States should have abstained from using the two atomic bombs on Japan for the sake of civilian lives and possible alternatives to their decision. These bombs not only had detrimental effects on Japan, they also led to an arms race amongst several nations.
The hardening the critical infrastructure and potential targets since 9/11
As Russian war-aggression began to become threatening, Americans began to build bomb shelters in order to protect themselves from nuclear warfare. (Doc. 8) Due to fear in American Society, government officials began to take extreme measure to contain Soviet
It is understandable as to why people believe that dropping the atomic bombs was inhuman, however, the pro’s outweighed the cons of dropping the bomb. The Manhattan project was the trials and tests that the US government was doing to try and create an atomic bomb. Without Truman’s intelligence strategy and his brilliant scientists led by Julius Oppenheimer, the bomb America would have not been able to end the war. Japanese soldiers were not going to surrender, and they would fight until the last man standing. The atomic bomb dropping was the nail in the coffin for the Americans during World War II in the Pacific.
This paper is going to be be about the U.S. and Japan during World War II, and about how it started, what happened and what this resulted in,also how this war between these two countries affected the world. The attack by the Japanese on Pearl Harbor started a war with the U.S . Japan had launched an attack towards the U.S. on December 7, 1941. This is a tragic event in history for the United States of America.
Those are the main moral questions in the movie... The premise is the usual nightmare scenario: A terrorist puts 3 nuclear bombs in 3 big US cities, and threatens to explode them (there is a timer on them) unless his demands are met. The terrorist is actually captured by US agencies, they know that he is the right guy and he has the information and the ability to stop the bomb.
Nintendo had pertained to other industries before it rose in popularity within the video game market. The company became very familiar with business tactics as well as marketing long before it entered the gaming industry as it was founded on September 23, 1889 by Fusajiro Yamauchi in Japan. Their products varied, beginning with producing Japanese playing cards to branching off into the toy market, establishing the company’s future direction. By 1981, Nintendo began to test the waters by releasing their first coin-operated arcade machine game, Donkey Kong, which had proved to become extremely popular.
