As World War II kept raging on in 1945, the US decided that they were going to end the Second World War with an action that is still remembered even in today's time. During World War II, the US made a tough but reasonable decision to drop atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to finally end the war between Japan and to end the Second World War. With the more and more wins that American had against Japan, Japan would not surrender and rather commit suicide and take out as many US lives as possible with them. After witnessing these horrific actions of the Japanese soldiers, Marine captain Justice Chamber says about how to win the war against Japan even though they won’t surrender is, “How to defeat an enemy that could not, would not admit defeat?... “To win the war and get it over with, just kill off many of the other sides, make it terrible, and the war will stop”(Doc3). Even though dropping the bomb on Japan was controversial it was the only way to end this war.
