The Romans’ Republic was a good political system at first. Ensuring that people had the say in the government by allowing them to choose who was in power. As time went on, issues did come to rise causing the fall of the Republic in Rome. Addressing these factors that came into play causing the fall of the Republic will be discussed in this learning journal. I will also discuss ways the Romans could have done to avoid these circumstances.
Numerous measures did transpire to cause the fall of the Roman Republic. Bobertz indicated that ten major occurrences led to the decline of the Republic (2022). If it had been put to a halt at the start, it wouldn’t have been a continued practice. These revolts caused a negative influence on the Republic. Making an unsafe government setting. It seems today that the United States politics are influenced in the news and social media. Making me think that Gracchi started such horrible practice. Maybe a halt to this sort of action could have prevented any future civil wars and the decline of the Republic. It was noted that these violent outbreaks were very bad. It even got to the point of killing the one Gracchi’s brothers, Tiberius. He was beaten to death (Fife, 2023). Lastly, why would any country give citizenship to their allies? This action alone would give any government
