Amongst all of the warnings that are released through social media, emails, or even via radio, it can be difficult to distinguish between which ones are false versus those that are undeniably true. When learning about the sex trafficking warning, I can conclude from the reading that it is indeed a truthful topic, while the RFID warning is completely false. Based on the readings, the main points of evaluation that both authors used in different ways are perspective, reality, and emotional appeal. When reading a warning that is supposed to alert or alarm me of a specific issue, I believe that perspective is an important part of the warning because depending on the issue, the author’s perspective can bring about credibility, which can either help or hinder me from believing what it is that I am reading into. In the Sex Trafficking Warning, the author’s perspective as a the mother of the victimized young girl, helped us as the readers relate to her and see exactly where she was coming from as a concerned parent.
Human trafficking can occur anywhere in the world. The myth of human trafficking only occurring in less developed countries such as India is far from the truth. It happens in Australia, right under our noses. Countries can be categorised in either a transit country, takes the trafficked victims and forces them to wait until they are deported to different countries like China, United States, United Kingdom, Australia, or can be a destination country where the trafficked victims are sent to and are in demand. In the 1990s, New York City was one of the most popular places for sex trafficking, where people would be abducted and forced to work in countless different industries. One individual named Jessica Ford became a victim of sex trafficking at just 16 years old. Jessica had grown up in a small town in the Midwest and had dreams of making it big in the entertainment industry. She was beautiful and talented, and her family always supported her dreams. Although they supported her, they abused her every day.
Prisoner's Dilemma could be represented with government agencies in the way they do not cooperate to maximize effectiveness. To some extent, if the rules are not clear when establishing responsibilities, distortions will be created to reduce crime. That is, each agency will have incentives to hide information, stop participating in certain processes and be overly involved when rules are not clear. To deal with this problem, three possible solutions are suggested: first, improve communication between agents; second, indirectly communicate what is planned to be done; and third, develop a reputation that makes agent’s actions more predictable.
Sex Trafficking is a form of modern day slavery that exists throughout the United States and globally. It is one of the biggest lies in society (Farley et., 2014). The Vanderbilt Law Review indicates that the majority of prostitutes do not enter the prostitution lifestyle on their own free will choice, but instead becomes a prostitute due to a variety of vulnerabilities that both pimps and traffickers exploit. This explains why young women get blindsided and think they are becoming a prostitute when in reality they are a sex trafficking victim (Elrod 2015). When the United States made prostitution illegal, it did not change the mentality of the johns.
After researching about multiple different topics that are presumed problems in the United States that need resolving, sex trafficking is a line of work that goes against any religion. Does the United States do enough to prevent people from joining this line of work, or are they pushing papers so they don 't get involved? Does the United States of America take action when needed, or do they have enough laws placed that can prevent pimps from selling innocent human beings? Prostitution, the practice or occupation of engaging in sexual activity for payment arrived from the latin word “prostituta”. While researching this topic it was found to be very controversial.
The Native Woman’s Association of Canada (NWAC) produced to aid and support the welfare of Aboriginal women, girls, their families, and community. Aboriginal women endure discrimination on many grounds and this includes sexual exploitation that often leads to human trafficking. The NWAC is taking an abolitionist position and this means they are pursuing to eradicate an organization such as slavery. In terms of prostitution, this term applied to the women oppressed and sexually exploited and trying to eradicate the system. This association wants to bring awareness to issues that go unnoticed, such as the unfair treatment prostitutes and Aboriginal women experience.
The legal and non-legal responses to the contemporary issue of human trafficking and slavery (HTS) are effective to a certain extent, but is increasingly being questioned. Human trafficking (HT) is the commercial trade or trafficking in human beings for the purpose of some form of slavery, usually involving recruiting, transporting or obtaining a person by force, coercion or deceptive means. Slavery involves a form of forced or bonded labour, with or without pay, under threat of violence. The United Nations (UN) outlines the ban on slavery and torture under Articles 3 and 4 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), stating that “no one shall be held in slavery or servitude or be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading
Human trafficking produces billions of dollars in profit every year, it is right behind drug trafficking as the most lucrative form of crime throughout the world. (DHS website). Victims of human trafficking rarely come forward due to the threats of murder, threats of killing their loved ones/friends, as well as having nowhere else to go because they have been ostracized from their own family and their “pimp” is their family. Another issue of why victims do not come forward is that they are afraid of law enforcement so they may go to jail, etc. (DHS website)
In addition to legislation on human trafficking, criminal justice systems must turn their attention to educating law enforcement officers about the nature and extent of trafficking, while also equipping them with the tools essential to handling these cases. Adequate training is necessary for law enforcement to understand the intricacies of trafficking cases and how to investigate them properly. Farrell, Owens, and McDevitt (2014) stress the need for such specialized training in order for law enforcement officers to embrace new legislation on trafficking, and to understand how to respond to these sensitive cases. Other criminal justice professionals, such as prosecutors, judges, and court personnel, can also benefit from specialized human trafficking
Majority of victims globally are girls and women, most of them are trafficked for the end goal of sexual exploitation. Traffickers mainly target females because they are excessively influenced by discrimination and poverty, elements that obstruct their approach to educational, employment opportunities and other resources. Maybe the most grounded factor is an urgent economic circumstance, which affects the accessibility of satisfactory employment in numerous nations for females more seriously than males. There is a suspicion that males are the perpetrators and females are the victims.

People that are insecure try to find an escape from feeling unhappy with themselves. How most people solve that today is by trying to impersonate someone else who is not them on the internet, these are called fake profiles or accounts. People will find an attractive male and females picture and use it as if it was them. They will post multiple images of the person they are trying to be to be accepted by people, and have people to talk to. A lot of people judge you on how you look today.
We are living in a world where one person has an absolute power over another. The groundless trade of human beings in today’s world shows a deteriorated state of affairs which confirms that the greatest moral challenge facing the globe today is human trafficking. It refers to illegal sale or trade of people for sexual abuse or forced labor through coercion or abducting people.
